Ted Parnell Scholarship
The Ted Parnell Scholarship Fund was established to honour the life and work of Ted Parnell (1947-1981). The Yukon Conservation Society offers an annual scholarship of $500 to a student of environmental studies who demonstrates outstanding interest & motivation in environmental fields. Interests pertaining to northern environments such as wildlife, ecology, renewable resources, energy, and environmental education are appropriate areas for eligibility.
Gerry Couture Stewardship Award
The purpose of the Gerry Couture Stewardship Award is to foster public awareness of, and appreciation for, the personal dedication required to conserve and manage the Yukon’s natural resources.
The donor of the award is inspired by Gerry Couture’s fearlessness and persistence in the face of adversity, and his creativity, innovation, and curmudgeonliness.
