Electric Thermal Storage
The following resources were created to outline Electric Thermal Storage capacity and options in the Yukon and provide an overview of our ETS project. In 2014, The Yukon Conservation Society (YCS) hosted a workshop on Electric Thermal Storage as a solution to integrate renewable energy and displace fossil fuels. Participants included energy experts from both Yukon utilities (Yukon Energy Corporation and Yukon Electrical Company Limited), Yukon government, non-governmental organizations and the broader community.
This brochure provides an overview of the project, addresses some frequently asked questions, and outlines what project registrants and participants should expect from the project.
Promoting Good Energy Options
YCS created a mini-site called Yukon’s Energy Solutions (YES, for short) to provide green energy education and promote options for reducing your energy consumption and transitioning your energy systems.
